ReplyDeleteNo need to be afraid. This poetic tidbit from Lamentations was taken from by Benedictine Daily Prayer book. I thought it was an appropriate one to share on Good Friday. The threw in the Hebrew text for those who might be interested. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd you can read Psalm 22 for some other great allusions to the crucifixion. In fact, the part about broken bones and torn away flesh is nearly word for word... Jeremiah probably had the psalm echoing in his ear or the other way around!
